SUMMER 2021 CAMPS

NOC "COMMUNITY Youth" - This level of play is specifically targeted to serve youth (no high school freshman) players of all skill levels in, or near the Placentia Yorba Linda Unified School District (Valencia HS, El Dorado HS, Esperanza HS, Yorba Linda HS), and the Orange Unified School District (Canyon, El Modena, Villa Park, Orange), Rosary High School, and any other area that is not otherwise served with a youth organization and / or is trying to start a high school program .  Other areas served are Corona, Chino Hills, Brea, Fullerton, Anaheim, Irvine, etc., until they have their own rec programs.

Boy's & Girl's, 2nd - 8th Grade

If you have never played lacrosse, this is a perfect way to give it a try! 

(Especially as an incoming freshman, before getting to high school)

  

Level of Play: 

"Intro to Lacrosse" - This camp is for beginning and intermediate players entering grades 2nd to 8th. It is designed to teach proper mechanics of the game. Solid stick work and footwork will be covered. This session only uses a lacrosse stick (which can be borrowed). You will be a better player after these camps, guaranteed! Topics covered: footwork, scooping, cradling, passing, rules, catching, dodging, and shooting. Players will be grouped by age and athletic skill. US Lacrosse membership required.

"Skill Development" - This camp is designed for players entering 5th - 8th grade, with 1 - 3 years experience. We will teach positional play and game situations. Players will learn how to make good decisions on the field. Topics covered include: advanced stick work drills, faking and shooting, fast break offense and defense, offensive sets, proper stick and body checking, lacrosse communication terminology, and more. Players will be grouped by age and skill. Players need complete equipment for this camp. US Lacrosse membership required.

Session 1:  Tuesday - Thursday, 6/29 - 7/1, 8:30am - Noon.

Session 2:  Tuesday - Thursday, 7/20 - 22, 8:30am - Noon.

Location: Esperanza High School WEST Campus (This is a grass field at the back of the parking lot behind the JV Softball field.  This on the West side of Kellogg, across the street from the Varsity Softball field).

Cost: $125 

​

$30 - USA Lacrosse annual membership must be current (Click here to REGISTER or renew if needed) or (Click here to RETRIEVE as USA Lacrosse member #).
